I think the best part about being a photographer is the opportunity to experience people's struggles to make this life count-- to witness the hero's adventure. I have decades of experience covering events in a journalistic style, always looking for the over-arching themes that best sum up the story of the event. I shoot without flash, with an unobtrusive approach that keeps me in the background while still getting the quintessential shot.
I've shot professionally in Scotland, Mexico, England, Wales, Ireland, Hong Kong and all over the United States. Every assignment is an adventure, even if it's in my own backyard.

Here's what Walter Kaplan, Assistant Media Planner at Clarity Coverdale Fury said about me: "Max Haynes as a person and his photos as a craft are second to none. Very possibly the greatest sports photographer I've ever witnessed, Max's work speaks for itself. That he is a gentleman, is kind and is passionate only add to his high value."

To tell you a little about myself-- this is my favorite non-family picture, taken at the Minnesota State Fair--
